So, as I was working on promoting my crowdfund on night shift recently (during which time I also worked out a fair amount, and idea came to mind. Why not combine two things I’m passionate about? My writing and its associated crowdfund, and fitness. As some of you might know, I’m training to get on Ninja Israel (Israel’s Ninja Warrior show) next season, so there’s a lot of work to do.
That also got me thinking about combining them, so I came up with #BackerFit! I talk about it a bit in this video, but basically I want to try and promote fitness, especially among creative types, who are generally not associated with fitness.
I’ll be doing a #BackerFit challenge every week of the A Fiery Reckoning indiegogo campaign, most likely pull-ups, cumulatively. So if I did 12 pull-ups today (though I had to do 4 takes, so I really did 48 all in all!), and I get another 10 backers over the next week, I’ll do 22 next time, and so on.
If you think this is a good idea, please spread it to other creatives running crowdfunds (there are certainly ways to adapt it to huge ones as well), and you can even take part yourselves. If we all get fit, we all benefit.
