I realize I’ve been remiss in my sharing new videos here lately. But I remembered this week! We’re taking our second look at Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End. Specifically, its use of time throughout the story.
Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End does just about everything right, from its characters, to the setting, to the exciting action. One of the most interesting aspects of the show for me, however, its is major theme of time. Time’s passage, and how that affects normal people like us, long-lived people like Frieren, and the world around her. So, let’s talk a bit about the various ways in which this amazing show utilizes and addresses that concept, including a way in which it is a refreshing departure from the majority of fantasy series, anime or otherwise.
