New Release: A Looming Shadow

It’s finally time! A Looming Shadow, book 2 in the Galaxy Ascendant series, is officially available on amazon in ebook format (print version to follow soon.)

It’s been an awesome process, form start to finish, albeit a very different one from A Greater Duty. With that, the book had been in progress, to one degree or another, for almost a decade, going through many changes along the way. A Looming Shadow, on the other hand, had a much faster writing time, about a year, and I knew from the start exactly what I wanted it to be.

A Looming Shadow picks up several months from where A Greater Duty left off, following the aftermath of the major war that took place earlier through the eyes of the characters were followed previously, as well as a couple characters who were present in A Greater Duty, but did not have their own viewpoint chapters.

As I mentioned in my last post on this blog, A Looming Shadow is the first sequel I have written, and it’s exciting to be able to start expanding on a story and setting that have been growing in my mind for so long now. There’s still a lot of work to be done, and the Galaxy Ascendant is still very much in its early stages, but that only means there’s much more fun to come in the future!

Special thanks to John Zeleznik, for another amazing cover art, Ben Zwycky, for excellent editing, and Miryam Merkin, for designing the galaxy map.

More to come here over these next two weeks, so keep an eye out!

You can pick up A Looming Shadow on Amazon here, and book 1 in the series, A Greater Duty, here. Additionally, if you sign up for my mailing list, you will receive a free sci-fi novelette, as well as short fiction set in the Galaxy Ascendant.

I hope you’ll join me here!
